Did you see my post on Palin and the book banning thing? She didn't actually ban any books, but she did talk to the librarian about how the librarian would respond if she did. And she fired and re-hired the librarian a few times, though it sounded like that might not have been about the book banning thing. Odd situation.
One of the really odd things, to me, is that she keeps stressing she said "thanks but no thanks to that bridge to nowhere." Now, not counting whether or not she supported the thing (she certainly said she wouldn't stand in the way of it when she was running for Governor) or her stance on earmarks in general (hiring a consultant to try to get them for her town when she was a mayor, for instance)... the thing that made me blink that I haven't heard much of anything about in the press is... yeah, she was the one who finally killed the bridge to nowhere (after many others had hurt and perhaps already mortally wounded the project)... but the state kept the money the government had invested in the bridge project. So even though she said "thanks but no thanks" she took the money? Uhhhhhhhhhh, 'scuse? And this is something you're campaigning on?
That bugs me. Maybe it shouldn't but it does.

no I agree with you on this, i seriously do not care for Palin, but truth be told.. I am very concerned... I somehow feel the republicans will win
and as strange as that may seem... whereas before i didnt care who won.. suddenly i do
and you know why? Me either.. maybe I want to see some new 'young' blood.. old republicans are not helping.. we new new thoughts.. new attitudes.. even if I get stuck in my ways, I like the change my thinking.. move forward progressively and not sit and stagnate
Obama may be young and inexperienced.. he may not be able to pull America out of the bush slump.. but.. I think he can bring forth new ideas that may not show much fruition NOW but will down the road once the dice get rolling..
I know I am sounding 'vague' and not detailed, but it is a FEELING
when i think McCain... I do not FEEL youthful.. good.. energetic.. forward..
When i think Obama.. I do..
I dont think anyone can actually do everything they are claiming they will do.. but I think Obama can get something moving towards the future.. put america on a slightly different path of thinking..
would that be so bad?

not to mention supporting the project right up until Congress cut the funding.
